Gable Named Assistant Coach at Iowa Wrestling

“The man considered by many to be the greatest wrestler/coach in history is returning to the University of Iowa staff as an assistant coach.”
“In a reversal of roles Gable, woh coached Brands to three NCAA titles during his Hawkeye career, will return to the Iowa practice room.”
Just his presence should make an immediate impact. Great move!

Golden Gophers Claim NCAA Wrestling Title
March 27, 2007 by Wrestling BlogCongratulations to the Minnesota Golden Gophers Wrestling Team for winning the NCAA national wrestling championship last week. Their heavyweight, Cole Konrad, finished with another national wrestling title.
“Konrad finished his career with back to back NCAA Championships and 76 wins in a row.”
Coach J Robinson said “I think the true character of a team is when you get yourself in a hole and you have to dig yourself out.”
Sounds like this victory was a total team effort. Congratulations to the victors!

Perry’s win came over two time defending champ Johny Hendricks of Oklahoma St. wrestling. Very Impressive. Congratulations to all.
